Study on characteristics of oil and gas occurrence and reservoir space of medium-high maturity continental shale—A case study of middle jurassic lianggaoshan formation in fuling block, southeast of sichuan basin, south China

Possessed of easy access to development and fair economic benefits, medium-high maturity continental shale oil gas have become the focus study in future. Shale mainly occur pores, but studies on pore characteristics occurrence are by no means sufficient. Focused from Middle Jurassic Lianggaoshan Formation Well TYX, Fuling block, southeast Sichuan Basin where a breakthrough exploration was recently achieved, this selects core samples conducts series analyses, including vitrinite reflectance analysis, kerogen microscopic examination experiment, total organic carbon (TOC) content mineral composition measurement, isothermal adsorption S 1 others. The analyses identify medium high virtue scanning electron microscope (SEM) with Ar-ion milling image processing software ImageJ. conclusions drawn as follows: terms lithofacies, organic-rich clay mixed shale; regard material composition, matter, illite-smectite layers illite. adsorbed accounts for at most 40% free takes up least 60% content. Pores solid bitumen, bitumen-clay complex mass, minerals, structured vitrinite, funginite mostly developed shale. Among them, first three types pores main reservoir space considering their large number, good roundness, diameter, fairly roundness edges, shapes which altogether contribute surface porosity.
